Description of services
The Security Department of Canary Wharf Management Ltd (CWM) operates an Estate Control Centre (ECC) – a 24/7 operations centre and is responsible for implementation of the security strategy and deployment of human and technical resource for the Canary Wharf Estate. The EEC had reached 7 years old and deployed an array of security technology systems. The core GUI application had reached end-of-life. Revive Resilience personnel, were commissioned to undertake a strategy for replacing the GUI and integrating with the functionality of another estate control room and 7 other satellite control rooms, under an enterprise wide solution.

Our scope included

  • Identification of User and Operational Requirements
  • Gap Analysis between the ‘As Is’ and the ‘To Be’
  • Definition of road map for future systems integration under a proposed replacement SMS platform
  • Development of Statement of Requirement for SMS and all sub-systems to allow Canary Wharf to tender the Control Centre Upgrade works.

Approach
Our approach was to launch Lean 6 Sigma project with cross-functional representatives working through current & future state maps to drive facility, technology, process design & protocols.

The core solution manages approximately 1700 cameras, Access Control Systems, alarm systems, car par barriers, ANPR, Tetra radio and communications networks and site-wide intercoms. The EECC has 14 Operating positions and incorporates redundancy to allow for progressing expansion of the Canary Wharf Estate Systems

Results

  • Canary Wharf accomplished their objectives of consolidating their operational functionality under a single enterprise-wide SMS.
  • Reduced the operational expenditure by AED 15M
  • Increased resilience of the operation & its ability to recover in crisis
