Challenge
The project was to develop life cycle plans for 220km of roads and infrastructure, which need to be constructed, redesigned and maintained, including improving the operational effectiveness of service areas and toll bridges. All works were carried out in a live environment, as this particular stretch of road is a crucial infrastructure for the UK.
Approach
Revive provided an Interim Management team to spear head the Design Function, developing processes and metrics to evaluate sub contractors and drive performance in quality, cost and delivery. This interim management team completed the development of the steady state organisation, systems, processes & procedures for the most effective management of the assets.
Results
The end results Revive delivered to our client included: the establishment of a control room methodology from each site to head office; a 2 year reduction in the project time due to Lean Process implementation; a 30% reduction in project staff as result of our Change Management and Organisational Effectiveness programmes; and a 70% reduction in customer complaints
